How To eFT Tapping your way to peace, happiness, and health

    how to eft tapping

    What is tapping EFT?

It is an alternative therapy procedure that relies on tapping the meridian points. Developed in 1990 by Gary Craig, EFT tapping is psychological acupressure. The method is tapping your meridian points in a particular sequence while focusing on your issues. So how to EFT tapping your way to happiness? While doing it how to choose your line and what issues to address? How will your EFT tapping worksheet help you assess your progress? Many many questions to ponder. We will address them one by one.

It can be beneficial in curing or addressing and keeping a check on the following conditions.

How to EFT Tapping the benefits

The theory is based on the fact that issues occur in our lives when energy flow is obstructed. By tapping the meridian points aka pressure points, you release this energy and channel it positively. In mindfulness, we bring our awareness to the body and breathing. We distract ourselves and divert the awareness to a point that helps them in channelizing the energy positively. Similarly in EFT Tapping, we tap the meridian points so as to activate them and use them to deal with your issues.

    How to EFT Tapping ?

    How to EFT Tapping
    1. The first step in incorporating EFT Tapping in your life is to identify the issue.
    2. Be it anxiety, depression, PTSD, phobia, addiction, etc, you need to identify it and rank it on a scale of 10. See how much you are getting affected by the issue.
    3. Decide your statement: Before you start, you need to decide on the statement that you need to say. It is in two parts. The first part is the issue that you want to address and the second part is the positive statement or acceptance statement. Eg: I have a fear of spiders, but I profoundly love myself.
    4. After repeating a few rounds of tapping, write down the rank which would have come down. Repeat this process until you reach 0.

    EFT Tapping sequence

The sequence of tapping is in the order of the meridian points that you want to stimulate.

    1. Karate Chop point

Karate chop point, also known as the small interesting meridian is the first point in the EFT Tapping series. Use your four fingers excluding the thumb and tap the Karate Chop Point.

    2. Between the eyebrows

The portion between the eyebrow or the third eye region is also called the bladder meridian. This is the second point of the series.

    3. Edge of the eyes

Gall bladder meridian is the next point and is located on the edges of your eyes on both sides of the forehead.

    4. Under the eye

The stomach meridian is the 4th point of the series. It is situated on the bony area under the eye.

    5. Under the nose

This is called governing vessel meridian point. Situated under the nose and above the lips, this is the fifth meridian point.

    6. Chin

Next meridian point situated on the chin is the central vessel meridian point.

    7. Collar bone

Coming down, kidney meridian point situated on the collarbone is one of the most effective and sensitive points.

    8. Underarm

Now comes the spleen meridian point one both sides of the underarms. It is situated right below the armpits and not inside it.

    9. Crown

The point where one round of tapping ends is the governing vessel point on the top of the head. If you draw a line from the top of both ears, the point where they merge is the crown meridian point.

Now that you know how to EFt Tapping and where to do it, what are you waiting for? Start tapping your way to wellness. We will be coming up with TFT Tapping soon for specific issues.

  • My weightloss Journey – Mistakes That I made

My weightloss Journey – Mistakes That I made

You always look the same. How do you maintain your weight? How did you lose all the baby fat? The question never ended. But I never felt like putting my weightloss journey out there yet. But now with the diet plan program in place, I feel it’s the best time to share this.

    My weightloss journey

    My Weightloss Journey

It was not easy as I was a lactating mother. But all the mass was making it tough for me to push through. It was not just about how I looked but it was about the lack of freedom.

Did I say that I was diagnosed with ADHD last month? Well, yes. Not only my kids and husband, I too have ADHD and always had, which went unnoticed.
So with all the energy around I could not bear the fact that I have to take one step at a time while climbing the stairs. I’m used to running up. The movement became a harrowing experience with the extra 20 kg I had to carry around.
From all the freedom of grabbing whatever comes to my hand, I had to check which one fits me. Who can wait so much? I just wanted to feel light and free.

So I wanted to lose weight for all such silly reasons. I knew what to do. I was not a biotechnology postgraduate for nothing. ( Shhh.. forget the fact that I did the degree out of family pressure and never liked it)

With a controlled diet and mild exercise, my weightloss journey took off and my body slowly started reacting. And then it took pace. At one point I could not stop my body weight from going down and had to literally work up the ladder to make me look healthy and not a sick sleep-deprived being. The mistake in the weightloss journey I did was to lose too much in too little time as I got super excited and overdid everything.

With Vit D deficiency, Vit C deficiency, and Vit B complex issues, ( all these were undiagnosed at that time) my body was weak. On one hand, I was happy to see the new old me. On the other, I was grappling with my deteriorating health.

Dont diet to lose weight, diet to gain health and know the difference

    Mental Health that never improved

Feeling ecstatic about others’ compliments was one thing and feeling energetic was another. I was constantly fatigued and being a new born mother, the lack of sleep, rest, and happiness for that matter weighed down on me. I was going through PTSD and PPD. My son was born in the 32nd week with congenital pneumonia. When the doctor showed him to me he looked like lord Krishna, I thought. Little did I know that he was blue due to low saturation. On the third day of birth, he collapsed and was shifted to the ventilator. 8 days went by and all that I could hold on to was hope. On the eighth day, he was out of ventilator and it took another 35 days to get him back home. This trauma hit me hard passively and I did not realize it. Having a history of postpartum aggression, which again went undiagnosed, this was the last nail in the coffin. The extremely unscientific diet along with this mental health trauma was enough to push me into a pit. And the irony is that this blinder was done by a biotechnologist.

    Phew!!

    What next

Like many others in excitement to lose all the fat I overdid it and realized it quite late. And then started my Holistic Wellness Journey. I went ahead learning one after the other. Mindfulness coach, Yoga trainer, Meditation teacher, Reiki Master, Pranic Healer, Chakra Healer, Ayuvedic Guru, Intermittent Fasting Coach, Food and nutrition health coach, it went on and on.

My step into the Ayurvedic lifestyle is what changed it all for me. Instead of counting my calories, I started counting my nutrients. Before all, I started knowing my body. It was before we formulated the dosha quiz. Now you can just visit our website and check the dosha and get the remedies in your mail. But when I started off there was no real pointer that I could rely on. It was a tedious task but it helped all the more. I had Vata pitta Prakriti and hence the ailments. I made a few lifestyle changes accordingly. Further, I started my mindfulness trip along with meditation and Yoga. But nothing unlocked the unrelenting power inside till I started doing Pranic Healing and later Reiki. This was the turning point in my life.

Last year Twinkl Education Publisher featured me in their International Yoga Day Blog, I retrospected my past few years. This walk down memory lane is what urged me to write about it.

    Encounter with Fibromyalgia

While I was at it, I learned that I had fibromyalgia. When one doctor said that fibromyalgia is a myth, another said that it is a reality. Further, my learning took a turn to learn more about Fibromyalgia. Alas! While I was dealing with and healing my kids were diagnosed with ADHD. It was a shock and reprieve. Shock because I realized they have learning issues and reprieve because now I know how to deal with them. That’s when I did the Parenting with EFT tapping course and certification in ADHD management. This was a blessing and I decided to share it with my loved ones.

Hereafter Holistic Wellness With RJ is taking a beautiful turn with curated programs for each one of you. Finally, now it’s time to slow down and practice what I learned.

we started Holistic Wellness with RJ.

21 days wellness, Diet plans, Workout guidance, Yoga Training,6 months wellness program, One-on-one coaching sessions

This is where I wanted to be. And this is what it was meant to be. This is where my weightloss journey took me. Was it just about the weightloss? No there was more to it. It was an overall development and I realized weightloss is not just about cutting down the calories and losing fat. More about this in another post. Till then keep visiting us on Instagram. @holisticwellnesswithrj and @rakhijayashankar

  • Dosha Quiz – Ayurveda way of Quotation on healthy lifestyle

Dosha Quiz – Ayurveda way of Quotation on healthy lifestyle

Ayurveda is a centuries-old science, a way of living, and also an indicator that shows how to live your life. Originated from India, this science has ruled the world when we Indians have always failed to find the importance of living life as per ayurvedic principles. Quite often we remain gobsmacked to see the intensity of the belief that the foreigners show in our Yoga, Ayurveda, and chakras. Hence we never bothered to check our doshas or live as per this. To enable us to understand our Dosha and incorporate it into our lives, we have presented a Dosha Quiz, an Ayurveda way of quotation on a healthy lifestyle.

Dosha Quiz - Quotation on Healthy Lifestyle

Dosha Quiz – Ayurveda’s quotation on a healthy lifestyle

According to Ayurveda, there are three types of Doshas – Vata, Pitta, Kapha

    Vata

Vata is associated with ether and air. Imbalance in Vata dosha can create anxiety, constipation, etc. In order to balance /Vata we need to ingest foods that increase Pitta and Kapha. Floor exercises are the best for Vata imbalance. Keep yourself well hydrated and eat more protein and fat-rich food.

    Pitta

Pitta is characterized by fire and water. It controls the endocrine, metabolic and digestive systems. An imbalance causes anger issues, restlessness, and skin diseases. Since the predominant element is fire, shower in cold water and stays near water bodies to balance Pitta. Avoid hot, spicy, and fermented foods as these may heat the body even more. Coconut water, sweet fruits, etc are good for Pitta imbalance.

    Kapha

The elements of Kapha are water and earth. The imbalance of Kapha causes respiratory diseases, obesity, etc. Plenty of exercise and mindful activities like meditation and exercise are good for Kapha imbalance. Avoid oily, fatty, and dense carb foods. Eat raw fruits, vegetables, etc.

Now that you know a brief about these doshas, take the quiz below. Please note, in order to understand your proper dosha and constitution, kindly don’t miss any questions. Also, if you are taking any medication, or if your are pregnant or breastfeeding, the suggestions may vary. In that case you can reply to our mail where we give you the results.

  • Is Fibromyalgia Real? Symptoms Of fibromyalgia conditions can be confusing…

Is Fibromyalgia Real? Symptoms Of fibromyalgia conditions can be confusing…

“Are you afraid of being sick?”, the doctor asked. I know I am not the first one to be judged for consulting a doctor to cure “body ache”. When the doctors themselves don’t shy away from snubbing and judging the women who are suffering from fibromyalgia, just because they don’t believe in the condition, what would poor patients do? Trust me he is one of the leading neurologists in Kochi. So I was left wondering “Is fibromyalgia real?”. For more than a year I lived in denial because the doctor said so. As the days went by, my pain worsened and I was unable to pinpoint the source of pain as it kept on radiating throughout the body. That’s when my time overlapped with my Holistic Wellness journey. My Yoga, meditation, EFT tapping, reflexology, and all practices worked, and slowly the pain subsided, including severe ENT problems too.

    Is fibromyalgia real?

    Is fibromyalgia real?

Fibromyalgia is an invisible symptom that doesn’t have symptoms that are evidently visible to others. This is where the real struggle of convincing the healthcare providers, coworkers, and even friends and family comes into the picture. In addition to the pain, the patients would also have sleep issues, mood swings, and memory problems. These are often conveniently ignored by the people around as a normal daily struggle.

The fact that more than half of the healthcare providers including neurologists is a fact that needs to be addressed on a larger scale because the person who is in pain feels neglected. This in turn could affect their emotions and have a psychological impact on them. Eventually, they leave it to themselves as they become exhausted from the travail.

    • Is fibromyalgia real?
    • Is fibromyalgia real? why is it confusing
    • Is fibromyalgia real? confusing symptoms
    • overlapping symptoms
    • No specific treatment Is fibromyalgia real?
    • Care yourself

Why the symptoms can be confusing?

Fibromyalgia has a cluster of symptoms that could overlap with other conditions like arthritis. Hence there is no definitive treatment for the condition. Since the symptoms vary, the cure is more or less an experiment. Nonetheless, the World Health Organisation has already recognized it as a disease and hence the doctors who deny hardly make any sense. They should rather update their medical knowledge up to date to consider fibromyalgia real.

I was lucky enough to be introduced to the condition by my ENT specialist. Lest I would have left behind wondering myself that I was being lazy. Further, I went ahead and started my therapy by being my therapist. The first step was to stop asking and start acting by making fibromyalgia real in my psyche. Many of you might have been sailing in the same boat and would be surprised to know that ‘hey, there is someone like me. But don’t worry we all are here for you. u school execise happiness

How to be happy every time

Mood swings – It is probably the most common term used by the Millenials. Irrespective of age, we use it within and out of context. Despite the situations in our life, we need to be happy. Sadness and anger have been underplayed or probably overplayed by us as two negative traits which humans should never feel. We forget the truth that these are human emotions, and as humans, we are naturally supposed to feel them. But, we want to know how to be happy every time. Why?

    1. Happiness is overhyped
    2. Need for instant gratification
    3. Social media influence
    4. Misguiding self-help books and videos

These are some of the numerous reasons why we are sold on the thought that being happy always is what we need. It gives us a feeling that by doing some gimmicks, we can immediately start feeling happy and content. However, only a minority provides us with a reality check. Being happy is a slow and steady process to attain by exercising happiness.

    Happiness is a muscle

Happiness is a muscle is a comprehensive approach to enable the clients in identifying how to be happy and step-by-step processes that enable them to develop the capability to remain happy. It starts with identifying your level of happiness. From identifying your level of happiness, the definition of being happy, trust, karma, and gratitude. The author will take us through everything that will incite introspection and retrospection.

The author categorically states the importance of sadness and pain to feel happiness in full throttle. In the pandemic era, the analysis of happiness and the course at large are all the more relevant because in the past two years we have witnessed variations in relations, occupations, lifestyles, and economics. Hence bridging the gap when life goes back offline is also important. As an extension to Happiness is a muscle U school is coming up with yet another course.

    Disrupted education building gap

This is an online parenting course for those with school-going children by Lamia Bagasrawala – Psychotherapist, Independent Researcher, and Education Facilitator. The course is primarily designed for parents in understanding the issue their children might face when they are transitioning from online to offline.

Two years of social isolation have a far-reaching effect on every child’s psyche. While some get back to normal easily, others succumb to the stress, which might go unnoticed. This is where the course comes into the picture. It helps us identify the early signs and seek medical help early on.

Being happy is or not is up to us. But how to empower you into identifying how to is up to u school.

  • Visualization Techniques To Assure The Results Of Visualization Meditation To Attain Your Goals

We live in an era of social media upsurge. We have been exposed to too many visions and noises that often the vision that we need to take forward remains clut momtered in the process. You know what you want, you know what is your aim but you don’t know exactly what it is and how to attain this. Success looks like a hazy picture in a pixelated format. So, how to bring the pixels together and see it as a whole thing? This is where the visualization techniques come into the picture.

    Visualization Techniques - Meditation

During our holistic wellness journey, we have come across visualization meditation in several instances. The proven benefits of visualization have been undoubtedly established by studies and personal experiences. Sharing some of the techniques that you can try in your daily routine.

    Visualization techniques

There are two types of visualizations

    1. Outcome visualization – It focuses on what you want to acheive. The ultimate goal that would define your success.
    2. Process visualization – It focus on the steps that lead to the final destination.

You can try the following visualization techniques despite the fact that you want to do process visualization or outcome visualization.

    Visualization techniques

    1. Vision board

It is a board or piece of paper where you write down everything that you want to do to achieve. It can be a visual algorithm of what you want to achieve and what you need to do. This is a more effective in-process visualization. Use your all senses to bring your body in tandem with what you want to achieve.

    2. Guided visualization

You can find someone who provides guided visualization. Close your eyes and listen to the guided visualization that is available on social media. We will soon be coming up with our guided visualization podcast. This is an axillary tool for visualization meditation.

    3. Flash cards

Flashcards, as you know are the easiest way to learn and remember things. What better way to remind yourself about what you need in your life? Write down 10 -20 important goals or steps to your goal and check these flashcards regularly.

    4. Gain knowledge

Knowledge is something that is never depleted of resources. The more you learn, the more you find. While visualizing your success or aim, it is imperative that you gain knowledge about the same and apply it while your try to achieve it.

Visualization Techniques - Write down your goals

    5. Visualization meditation

This is the most important and effective visualization technique that you can apply in your life. This is the process of using positive images and affirmations to train your mind. You can use affirmations or chant to calm your mind and bring your focus together. An important point to remember is that you have to work every day towards your goal. Even if you have nothing specifically to do, spend at least fifteen minutes on your visualization techniques and the goal that you want to achieve.

Click the image to listen to the podcast

    Visualization techniques for visualization meditation

Visualization meditation is largely living your parallel life every day. Have you ever tried living your future? This is not any dystopian fantasy that I am trying to narrate. This is all about what you want to achieve.

    A quiet corner

It is always better to find a corner of the house that is quiet and devoid of distractions. If you are unable to find one or if you have space constraints, you can wake up a little early, before your family, and sit on the bed for your meditation.

    Gadget free time

    Visualization Techniques - digital detox

If you are someone who is of the habit of intermittently checking the phone to curb your FOMO, it is always better to keep the gadgets in another room to overcome that tendency and follow digital detox. Because it is important to keep yourself away from distractions. You can use the gadget to play a soothing chant or music if that helps.

    Breathing

Breathing exercise is an effective step to begin visualization meditation exercises. You can try Pranayama, which is the most effective in bringing your body and mind in one point. Concentrate on breathing and make sure your body is relaxed and ready.
